Knit or Crochet Night

Beginning Monday, April 2nd, the Main Library will host “Knit or Crochet Night” every Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Mingle with like-minded makers and swap patterns, ideas, and tips. Beginners to experts are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. One-on-one assistance is available.

Lockdown lifted at Carver Elementary School

Yuma, Arizona - Today at approximately 2:13 p.m., Yuma Police Officers responded to a report of threats with a handgun at Carver Elementary School, located at 1341 W. 5th Street.  Officers responded to the school and placed it on lockdown.

MS-503 Gang Member Apprehended by Yuma Border Patrol Agents

Thinking Money Exhibit

Yuma, Arizona - Thinking Money is a new traveling exhibition designed to teach tweens, teens and the adults in their lives about money. Through an adventure-themed storyline, interactive iPad content and other fun activities, Thinking Money explores themes like wants vs. needs, preparing for a rainy/sunny day, imagining your future self and avoiding financial fraud.

Researching Land and Property Records Genealogical Style

Yuma, Arizona - On Saturday, March 31st, the Genealogical Society of Yuma will present “Researching Land and Property Records” at 10:30 a.m. at the Main Library. Guest speaker Joe Wehrle, Yuma County Accessor, will provide research guidelines and tips. Novice and experienced genealogy researchers are welcome! There is no charge to attend.
