Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma County Library District is pleased to introduce the LEADing (Libraries Enabling Assistive Discovery) Technology Project for people of all ages with physical and developmental disabilities. Located at the Main Library, the LEADing Technology Project features an interactive display table and platform, digital pens for scanning, recording, and scribing, and virtual reality systems.

Yuma, Arizona - Today, just after 2:00 pm a person was reported to be struggling to stay afloat in the Colorado River under the Ocean to Ocean Bridge. Yuma Fire Department personnel arrived to find a 75 year old male holding onto vegetation on the north side of the river trying to stay above water. A YFD Firefighter assigned to the first arriving unit quickly put on water rescue gear, entered the water and was able to bring the person safely to the south shore at Gateway Park within minutes of their arrival.

Yuma, Arizona - After working one dead end job to the next, Bobby Alvarado knew it was time for a change. While flipping through an Arizona Western College course catalog brought home by his wife, he decided to enroll in some classes and pursue a career doing something he enjoyed – welding.
