Yuma, Arizona - Teens are invited to the Foothills Library for summer reading gaming, crafts, and more! Ages 13-18 are welcome. There is no charge to attend any event.

Theatre Camp

Yuma, Arizona - Beginning Tuesday, July 5th, the Yuma County Library District, in collaboration with Yuma Community Theater, will offer the 3rd Annual Summer Theatre Camp for youth ages 12-18. Students will have an opportunity to learn theatre basics, including how to apply stage make-up and how to operate stage lights, as well as how to write skits and audition for roles.

Yuma Fire Department Receives Grant for Fire Investigation Training

Yuma, Arizona - Recently, the Yuma Fire Department received a fire prevention grant award from FM Global. The grant totaled $1,650 and will be used for fire/arson investigation training. FM Global is one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers and has contributed millions of dollars in fire prevention grants to fire service organizations around the world.

Yuma, Arizona - Need help preparing for the Citizenship exam? On Thursday, July 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th, the Foothills Library will host “Clase de ciudadanía” at 1:30 p.m. Learn how to find information and use “test prep” resources for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website.

Aspiring genealogist?

Yuma, Arizona - Are you an aspiring genealogist? On Wednesday, June 6th, Special Collections Librarian Laurie Boone will present two genealogy workshops in the Conference Room at the Main Library. Novice and experienced genealogy researchers are welcome! There is no charge to attend; however, space is limited.
