Yuma, Arizona - Western Voice, the in-print and online publication of the AWC journalism program, launched a new website this week. The site will work well on mobile devices as well as desktop computers, and it is supported on major browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer 9 and above.
The new site also offers modern methods to tell stories with multimedia content and larger images. The site will retain much of the original organization, while bringing the site up to modern web conventions.
Western Voice, sponsored by AWC’s academic Division of Communications, is a product of the Media Arts program. Most of the articles showcase the work of students in the News Writing (JRN 125) and Photojournalism (JRN 135 & 235) classes, but the content comes from other sources as well.
There might be a delay in seeing the new website for those off AWC campus locations. It could take between 24 to 48 hours for those off campus to see the new site.
