Yuma, Arizona - This morning, between 9:20 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., 34 year old Janice Pablo started 13 fires causing approximately $6,710.00 worth of damages. Janice Pablo was located in the area of Arizona Avenue and 23rd Street where she was arrested.
The first set of fires were started at her residence in the 700 block of S. 13th Avenue. Two fires were set inside the residence and four outside, total damage is approximately $310.00. The next reported fires were at Food City, 1240 W. 8th Street. Five fires were set there, three inside the store and two outside, total damage is approximately $6000.00. Several minutes after the fires at Food City, two fires were discovered in the alleyway behind the apartments at 833 South Avenue A where a large City of Yuma alleyway dumpster was on fire, total damage is approximately $400.00.
Janice Pablo was located near Arizona Avenue and 23rd Street after reports of a disorderly subject. She was taken into custody and confessed to setting all the fires.
