Mohave County Inmate is Sentenced for Murder of Cellmate

Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced that Gaven Robel, of California, pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Murder and Fraudulent Schemes and Artifices. Mohave County Judge Billy K. Sipe, Jr. sentenced Robel to an aggravated term of 21 years flat time in the Arizona Department of Corrections, followed by seven years of Supervised Probation with specific terms regarding mental health to begin upon his release.

Arizona To Add More Than 165,000 New Jobs By 2020

Phoenix, Arizona - The Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity released a report projecting Arizona will add 165,691 jobs over a two-year period. From the third quarter of 2018 through the second quarter of 2020, Arizona’s employment is expected to increase from 3,015,242 to 3,180,933, representing an annualized growth rate of 2.7 percent — an increase from last year’s projection of 2.6 percent and more evidence of Arizona’s continued acceleration over the last 12 months.

Four Defendants Plead Guilty for Running Illegal Poker Room in Sierra Vista

Sierra Vista, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced four defendants, charged in connection with “The Poker Room Live,” pleaded guilty in Cochise County Superior Court on Friday, February 15, 2019.  The four had been charged last August by a State Grand Jury with felony conspiracy, illegal enterprise, and gambling offenses related to "The Poker Room Live" which had been in operation in Sierra Vista from approximately 2007 until September 14, 2017.
