FTC Providing Over $88 Million in Refunds to AT&T Customers Who Were Subjected to Mobile Cramming

Washington, DC - The Federal Trade Commission is providing over $88 million in refunds to more than 2.7 million AT&T customers who had third-party charges added to their mobile bills without their consent, a tactic known as “mobile cramming.” The refunds to consumers relate to 2014 settlements with AT&T, and the companies behind two of the cramming schemes, Tatto and Acquinity.

United States and Cuba To Hold Fifth Bilateral Commission Meeting in Havana

Washington, DC - The United States and Cuba will hold the fifth Bilateral Commission meeting in Havana, Cuba on Wednesday, December 7. Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Mari Carmen Aponte will lead the U.S. delegation. Embassy Havana Chargé d’Affaires Jeffrey DeLaurentis and Deputy Assistant Secretary John Creamer will also attend for the United States. The Cuban delegation will be led by Josefina Vidal, the Foreign Ministry’s Director General for U.S. Affairs.

Makin Island, 11th MEU, Malaysian Armed Forces Conduct Exercise Tiger Strike

LAHAD DATU, Malaysia (NNS) -- Sailors aboard amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and Marines with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) joined members of the Malaysian armed forces for Exercise Tiger Strike 16 in Lahad Datu, Malaysia, November 10-13.

CTE Presents the Noon Discovery Series 2.0
