Yuma, Arizona - Yuma County Libraries will be closed all day Friday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day. The libraries will resume their regular hours Saturday, November 12th.

Rochester, Minnesota - Sister Generose Gervais, long-time administrator of Saint Marys Hospital and president of the Poverello Foundation, passed away peacefully Friday evening in the hospital she served for many years. She was 97.

Washington, DC - The 2016 Nobel Prize in chemistry has been awarded to National Institutes of Health grantee Sir J. Fraser Stoddart of Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. Stoddart shares the award jointly with Jean-Pierre Sauvage, Ph.D., of the University of Strasbourg, France and Bernard L. Feringa, Ph.D., of the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, for their design and production of molecular machines.
