Yuma, Arizona - On Tuesday, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a FedEx van was waiting to pull out northbound from AutoZone parking lot in the 2500 block S. 4th Avenue. As the driver started his turn to merge into the curb lane he struck a female bicyclist riding against traffic on the sidewalk.
The 38 year old female bicyclist was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with what was initially described as non-life threatening injuries.
The roadway was shut down while Traffic Investigators responded to the scene to conduct further investigation.
This case is still under investigation.
