Yuma, Arizona - During the end of June 2016, Arizona Western College Institute of Welding Technology students attended the SkillsUSA national conference and competition in Louisville, KY and came back as winners.

Genealogical Society of Yuma will present “Military Wives”

Yuma, Arizona - On Saturday, September 24th, the Genealogical Society of Yuma will present “Military Wives” at 10:30 a.m. at the Main Library. Hear excerpts from letters and diaries that provide a rich, and often overlooked, eyewitness account of 19th and early 20th century frontier life.

Patricia Levy Andrews will teach "Introduction to Hebrew"

Yuma, Arizona - Beginning Saturday, September 17th, library volunteer Patricia Levy Andrews will teach "Introduction to Hebrew," a free five-week class for adults at the Main Library. The class will meet in the 2nd floor classroom on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. through October 15th. Students will learn the Hebrew alphabet, vowels markings, and how to read and write Hebrew using a variety of multimedia learning tools.

Yuma, Arizona - Stargazers can enjoy the cosmos at the Foothills Library! The library’s astronomy group will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 22nd and 29th, in the Foothills Library parking lot, 13226 E. South Frontage Road. Lawn chairs, binoculars, and telescopes welcome!
