Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College will be holding their 2nd Annual English Symposium on Friday, November 18 from 9am to 12pm in BA 111. The symposium is co-sponsored by the Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE) and the AWC English Faculty.

Yuma, Arizona - U.S. Fire Departments responded to an estimated annual average of 156,600 cooking-related fires between 2007-2011, resulting in 400 civilian deaths, 5,080 civilian injuries and $853 million in direct damage.

Yuma, Arizona - This morning, at approximately 3:41 a.m., there were multiple reports of shots fired in the area of the 100 block North 20th Avenue. Upon arrival several shell casings were located in the street.

CTE Presents the Noon Discovery Series 2.0

Yuma, Arizona - The Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE) at Arizona Western College presents the Noon Discovery Series 2.0 (NDS) for the AWC Community at large. The next upcoming presentation in the series is “For the Love of the Laborer: Historical Influences and Current Work” by Angel Luna, Professor of Fine Arts at AWC. The presentation takes place on Wednesday, October 26 from 12:15pm to 1:30pm in AC 126 and via ITN SLLC CR, PLC 15 and QLC 15.
