On Wednesday, November 2nd, Special Collections Librarian Laurie Boone will present two genealogy workshops in the Conference Room at the Main Library. Novice and experienced genealogy researchers are welcome! There is no charge to attend; however, space is limited.

National Novel Writing Month

Yuma, Arizona - 50,000 words. One month. Observed every November, National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing! Participants begin writing on November 1st. The goal is to write a 50,000 word (approximately 175 page) novel by 11:59:59, November 30th.

AWC Received Exemplary Award at National Conference for their Chiller Optimization Project

Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College received an Exemplary Practices Award from the Community College Business Officers (CCBO) at their 2016 annual conference in Orlando, Florida for the Chiller Optimization Project. Steve Eckert, AWC Director of Facilities Management, accepted the award on behalf of AWC and also gave an hour long presentation on the project at the conference.
