Yuma, Arizona - On Tuesday, January 17th, Master Gardener Lydia Rebel will present “Flower Arrangement” at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Library. Learn the art of arranging flowers and tips on how to make cut flowers last longer. There is no charge to attend.

Libraries Closed for MLK Day

Yuma, Arizona - Yuma County Libraries will be closed all day Monday, January 16th, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The libraries will resume their regular hours Tuesday, January 17th.

New Year’s Eve safety

Yuma, Arizona - Every New Year’s Eve the Yuma Police Department responds to numerous reports of “shots fired” within the city limits. Some people discharge a firearm into the air to bring in the New Year.  The Yuma Police Department would like to remind the community this is a felony offense and encourage anyone that witnesses this type of criminal activity to call the police department immediately.

New Year’s Eve Weekend impaired driving detail

Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma Police Department is conducting an impaired driving detail on Friday, December 30th, 2016 and Saturday, December 31st, 2016.  Additional officers will be used to rove city streets looking to stop and arrest drivers who are impaired by alcohol or drugs.  These DUI patrols are, in addition to regularly scheduled patrol officers, all looking for the signs of an impaired driver behind the wheel.

View new ideas and projects for a new year! Participants are welcome to bring pictures of your own D.I.Y. decorating projects to share.
