Yuma, Arizona - This evening, at about 6:19 p.m., Yuma Police officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision that occurred in the 2600 block of W. 16th Street.
The pedestrian, a 70 year old female, was crossing 16th Street heading south when she was struck by a Toyota Tundra pick-up truck that was heading east. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene.
The pedestrian has been identified as 70 year old Maria Mendoza.
