Phoenix, Arizona - The Jeepers Bandits have been identified. Three men have been arrested on charges related to the armed robberies, including:

Shiprock man sentenced to two years in prison for assaulting a federal officer

Albuquerque, New Mexico - Derrick Begay, 33, of Shiprock, New Mexico, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, was sentenced on February 10 in federal court to two years in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release for assault upon a federal officer involving physical contact. 

Craig C. Garrick, Jr. Sentenced To Federal Prison For Securities Fraud

Salt Lake City, Utah - Craig C. Garrick, Jr., 42, of Alpine, Utah, was ordered to serve 12 months and one day in federal prison at a hearing on February 10, after being convicted of securities fraud in federal court. Garrick previously pleaded guilty to securities fraud in October of 2020.

Yuma, Arizona - Last week YFD personnel found themselves responding to multiple “welfare check” types of calls regarding preschool age children. Responses involving children are not unusual, over the last few weeks we have had them locking themselves or being unintentionally locked in houses and vehicles. However, several calls from last week involved children being intentionally left alone or unsupervised in these situations.
