Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College will be holding their 3rd Annual English Symposium on Friday, November 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in BA 111. The symposium is co-sponsored by the Center for Teaching Effectiveness and the AWC English Department.
The purpose of the symposium is to present papers and facilitate discussions on issues related to English pedagogies. This will be an opportunity for participants to hone in on their own composition skills and share ideas. Participants may discuss any interest broadly within the topic, including controversial issues, in a spirit of candor and collegiality.

- “Cracking the Code for Continuing Online Classes” by Dave Hannah
- “Marvelous Reality and Magic Realism” by Daniel H. Herrera
- “Mother Night” by Mark Schauer
- “Getting Gritty: Mining the Poetics of Discomfort for Embraceable Authenticity” by David E. Kern
