Yuma, Arizona - Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Heritage Library! On Friday, September 29th, the Heritage Library, in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate and the City of Yuma, will host a ceremony at 10:30 a.m. to honor the life of Jose Maria Morelos, a Roman Catholic priest and revolutionary leader in 19th century Mexico.
After the presentation, attendees are invited to view a statue of Jose Maria Morelos, located on the North East corner of the Library Park. The statue was donated by the Mexican Consulate to the City of Yuma in 2010.
