Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College will be hosting Trick or Treat-Talent Search 8th graders on Thursday, October 27th on the Yuma Campus in the 3C (South Schoening and Francis Morris) starting at 9:00 am.
The 8th grade students will be from 4th Ave Jr. High, Gila Vista Jr. High, Wellton Elementary and LePera and Wallace in Parker. The students will take a campus tour and will have the opportunity to trick or treat at each location. Some students may be in costume. While on campus, they will play a Jeopardy style game to learn about high school, universities and careers. A presentation will also be given to prepare the students for high school.
Talent Search is a federally funded grant designed to help students graduate from high school and continue on to college. Eligible students are potential first-generation college students, and/or low income. Students are eligible to participate in the program from 6th through 12th grade.
