Yuma, Arizona - On Wednesday, November 9th, Chuck Wullenjohn, Public Information Officer for the Yuma Proving Grounds, will present “Our Flag and Our Army: Two Destinies Intertwined” at Yuma County Libraries. Learn how the Army won the nation’s freedom in the Revolutionary War, and how they have protected it throughout America's history. The presentation includes a look at the Army's history in Yuma, as well as interesting facts about our national colors.

Chuck Wullenjohn has served as Public Affairs Officer at US Army Yuma Proving Ground since November 1989. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in social science from Humboldt State University in 1974, with specialties in history, political science and English. He completed graduate work at Hayward State and San Jose State Universities. In addition to working at the proving ground, Mr. Wullenjohn has been an associate professor of political science at Arizona Western College since 1991. He is an avid writer and photographer who has had numerous articles and photographs published both nationally and internationally.
