Yuma, Arizona - On Saturday, October 8th, the Yuma County Library District will join libraries across the nation to celebrate the 1st Annual Indie Author Day. As the world of independent publishing continues to grow, libraries are reaching out to support local writers and help them connect with other writers and readers.
At 10:30 a.m., author Graeme Ing will present “An Introduction to Independent Publishing” at the Main Library. Graeme’s book Necromancer is one of the most read fantasy books on Library Journal’s indie publishing website, SELF-e. He is a founding member of the San Diego Writers Group, and a member of the Romance Writers of America.
At 12:00 p.m., Graeme will be joined by local authors Christine Howard and Melissa Stevens for an independent publishing question-and-answer session. Co-Municipal Liaisons for National Novel Writing Month as well as Co-Moderators of the Foothills Library writing club Write on the Edge, Christine and Melissa have 13 books published between them.
There is no charge to attend.
