Yuma, Arizona - This morning, at 9:59 a.m., the Yuma Police Department responded to an injury collision on 5TH Avenue at 8TH Street.
Traffic along 8TH Street from 4TH Avenue westbound to 6TH Avenue was impacted.
Rene Fernandez, 31year old male, was driving north bound on 5th Avenue and failed to stop at the stop sign at 8th Street. The 2003 white Ford F150 Fernandez was driving collided with a white 2009 Nissan Pathfinder driven by 62 year old Martin Hernandez, who was traveling east bound on 8th Street.
Martin Hernandez was flown to a Phoenix hospital in serious condition. Rene Fernandez was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
