Fall Business Series: Generational Marketing

Yuma, Arizona - In September 2019, the Yuma Main Library will host a Fall Business Series at the Main Library. Aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and students are invited to attend workshops focusing on online businesses, marketing, and taxes.

September is National Preparedness Month

Yuma, Arizona - So far over the course of 2019 (and even now during Preparedness Month) we have seen quite a bit of devastating weather and other natural disasters. Hurricanes, earthquakes, wild fires have caused deaths, injuries and billions in property damage in our country and others. Even though we have had a mild Monsoon Season so far, we still have that potential for severe storms and wild fires are always a concern around our state.

Yuma, Arizona - On Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019, at approximately 10:59 p.m., Yuma Police Officers responded to a vehicle collision at South Avenue B and West 8th Street.

Yuma High School bus of female volleyball players in collision sustaining injuries

El Centro, California - Last night, at approximately 8:40 pm, officers from the El Centro Police Department responded to the area of Imperial and Elm in reference to reports of a traffic collision which involved a school bus. Officers arrived on scene and verified that a Yuma High School bus full of female volleyball players had collided with two vehicles waiting for the red light at Hamilton Ave.

Personal Finance workshops

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma County Library District, in collaboration with the Yuma County Cooperative Extension, is hosting a 4-week Personal Finance program to teach how to budget, plan for emergencies, determine the cost of borrowing money, and understand credit reports.
