Yuma, Arizona - On Monday, January 6th, the Yuma County Library District will launch the 5th Annual Adult Winter Reading Program “Book a Trip Around the World!” Visit any Yuma County Library to sign up and pick up your Winter Reading Log. Complete the log by reading four books, and add a sticker to your library’s map to show where you “traveled.”

Yuma, Arizona - Today, at approximately 5:11 p.m., Yuma Police Department officers responded to the 2500 Block of S 17th Avenue for a report of shots fired with one subject injured.

Yuma, Arizona - This morning at about 12:36am a victim reported being pulled over near the bicycle path in the area of the 2000 block of Ridgeview Drive. Two men approached the victim's car wearing regular black clothing without any police markings or patches. They were not wearing body armor, did not have duty belts, and did not have any equipment typically carried by police officers.

Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma Police Department is conducting an impaired driving detail on Tuesday, December 31st, 2019 and Wednesday, January 1st, 2020. Additional officers will be roving city streets looking to stop and arrest drivers who are impaired by alcohol or drugs. These DUI patrols are, in addition to regularly scheduled patrol officers, all looking for signs of an impaired driver behind the wheel.
