Yuma County announces first pediatric COVID-19 related death in Arizona

Yuma, Arizona - Coronavirus (COVID-19) has taken the life of a Yuma County child under the age of 18. It is the first pediatric death in the State of Arizona. The child had multiple serious underlying medical conditions.

Attempted Murder 2000 block of S. 11th Avenue

Yuma, Arizona - This morning, at approximately 12:27 a.m., the Yuma Police Department responded to the 2000 block of S. 11th Avenue for a report of an aggravated assault.

House Fire in 9600 block of east 34th Street

Yuma, Arizona - On Thursday, just after 5:00 am, a house fire was reported in the 9600 block of east 34th Street. First arriving Yuma Fire Department personnel found a fully involved doublewide mobile home, with heavy flames and smoke coming from the structure and area surrounding it.

Home Fire in the 800 block of East 24th Place

Yuma, Arizona -  On Monday, just after 2:00 pm, a house fire was reported in the 700 block of East 24th Place. Yuma Fire Department personnel arrived to find smoke coming from a home in the 800 block of East 24th Place. Firefighters made entry to the home and found the fire had originated in the kitchen and appeared to be out. The kitchen area was checked to confirm the fire was out and had not extended into the walls of the home.

Radiologic Technology program to graduate students with honors

Yuma, Arizona - A group of 16 students will be graduating from the Radiologic Technology program at Arizona Western College this spring.
