Yuma, Arizona - According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), more than one third of adults 65 and older fall each year in the United States, and among older adults, falls are the leading cause of injury death. This could be something as simple as tripping in a parking lot or more serious incidents, like falling from a ladder or roof.

Yuma, Arizona - On Monday, May 18th, at approximately 8:18 p.m., the Yuma Police Department responded to the 1200 Block of S. 8th Avenue for a report of shots fired.

Yuma, Arizona - On Sunday May 17, at 2:45 am a fire in a garage was reported at 6096 East 47th Place. Arriving Yuma Fire Department personnel found heavy smoke and flames coming from a 3-car garage at that location. Flames were coming through the roof and 2 vehicles were on fire in the driveway in front of the garage. All occupants were confirmed to be out of the home.

Governor Ducey Announces $500,000 For Food Banks To Fight Hunger

Yuma, Arizona - With Arizona food banks experiencing a spike in demand, Governor Doug Ducey Wednesday announced a $500,000 grant from the AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund for Arizona food banks to help fight hunger. Member organizations that are part of the Association of Arizona Food Banks/Arizona Food Bank, which is receiving the grant, supply a network of nearly 1,000 food pantries and organizations in all 15 counties in Arizona, some of which have experienced a demand up to five times greater than usual due to COVID-19.
