Yuma, Arizona - The AWC Alumni Association is proud to present their Annual Chili Cook-off on Thursday, December 1. This fundraising event will be filled with award winning chili, music, and family fun with a focus on raising funds for the AWC Alumni Association Student Scholarships during El Toro Bowl Week.

AWC Talent Search Hosts “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” for High School Students

Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College Talent Search will be hosting “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” for high school students on Thursday, November 17 on the Yuma Campus in South Schoening, the East Meeting Room, and the Frances Morris Conference Room.  Students from Kofa, Parker, San Luis and Yuma high schools will be in attendance.

AWC Formal Student Music Recital

Yuma, Arizona - The Arizona Western College Music Department will have its Formal Student Recital at 1 pm on Sunday, November 20 in the AWC Theater on the Yuma Campus.  The Formal Student Recital is a performance presented by the music students taking private lessons from the AWC faculty.

AWC to Take on Garden City (KS) in National Championship Game

Yuma, Arizona - Defense wins championships. The old mantra has held true this football season for both Arizona Western College and Garden City Community College. Now, the top two teams in the NJCAA will meet in the title game at the El Toro Bowl in Yuma on Saturday December 3. Kick-off is set for 1:00 pm at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Tip A Cop Famous Daves

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma Police Department is continuing our efforts to raise money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics by kicking off another “Tip-A-Cop” event. The event will be held at Famous Dave’s Restaurant, 1501 S. Yuma Palms Pkwy, on Friday, December 16th from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
