Yuma, Arizona - On Monday, September 11, Arizona Western College and U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground will partner on a public safety event. Ms. Kristina Anderson, professional speaker, director of Koshka Foundation for Safe Schools, and survivor of the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting will offer a 90-minute public presentation and take questions from the audience.

Fraud-schemes case leads to standoff and arrest

Somerton, Arizona - On Wednesday, Detectives from the Yuma Police Department were scheduled to serve a search warrant on a residence in the 100 Block of W. Canal Street in Somerton, Arizona. The warrant was in reference to a fraud-schemes case and the Detectives had probable cause to arrest 37 year old Alfredo Ibarra if located at the residence.
