Yuma, Arizona - Stargazers can enjoy the cosmos at the Foothills Library! The library’s astronomy group will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14th and 28th, in the Foothills Library parking lot, 13226 E. South Frontage Road. Lawn chairs, binoculars, and telescopes welcome.
Apartments fire at 105 East 23rd Street

Yuma, Arizona - Last night, shortly after 8:00 pm, a fire was reported in the area of 23rd Street and Madison Avenue. Arriving Yuma Fire Department personnel found heavy smoke coming from a group of apartments at 105 East 23rd Street. The fire was found to be in an attached storage unit on the south side of the building. Firefighters were able to quickly control and extinguish the fire.

Yuma, Arizona - On Thursday, December 14th, Mark Schauer, Public Affairs Specialist/Editor for the Yuma Proving Ground, will present “Artillery Testing - the Bread and Butter of YPG's Workload” at Yuma County Libraries. YPG has been America’s primary artillery and mortar tester since the early 1950’s, a mission that continues today, with tens of thousands of rounds fired each year.
