Peoria, Arizona - The Antigua Group, one of the nation's leading designers and marketers of lifestyle apparel under the genuine Antigua brand, congratulates tour staff player Brittany Lang on her first major LPGA Tour win the U.S. Women's Open.
The 30-year-old Lang captured her first major championship on Sunday at the U.S. Women's Open, winning in a three-hole playoff at CordeValle Golf Resort in San Martin, CA.
Lang carded a final round one-under par, 71 to finish the championship at six-under par and a share of the lead forcing the 3-hole playoff. Lang's victory is the greatest 36-hole comeback since 1990, after trailing by seven strokes midway through the championship. She is just the second American to win on Tour in 2016 and third to capture the U.S. Women's Open since 2010.
"The Antigua team congratulates Brittany on winning the U.S. Women's Open," said Ron McPherson, President and CEO of The Antigua Group. "We are proud to have Brittany wearing Antigua golf apparel. She is a great ambassador for the Antigua brand."
