Washington, DC - Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken will travel to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Ramallah, and Ankara, June 15–17.
On June 15, the Deputy Secretary will meet with Palestinian Authority officials in Ramallah. The Deputy Secretary will then give keynote remarks at the Herzliya Conference hosted by the Institute for Policy and Strategy at IDC Herzliya.
Deputy Secretary Blinken will lead an interagency delegation for the U.S.-Israel Strategic Dialogue on June 16. The Deputy Secretary will also hold additional meetings with Israeli officials and members of civil society. He will host an evening Iftar in East Jerusalem with Palestinian civil society.
The Deputy Secretary’s final stop is in Ankara, June 17, where he will lead an interagency delegation to discuss ways to further strengthen U.S.-Turkey cooperation on security and counterterrorism. The Deputy Secretary also will meet with members of civil society to discuss freedom of expression in Turkey.
