Lukeville, Arizona - Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested two illegal aliens with felony convictions in separate incidents Saturday.
Agents from the Brian A. Terry Station in Naco arrested 40-year-old Jose Adan Olvera-Rojas. During processing, agents learned he was convicted in 2002 of rape in Marion County, Florida.
Ajo Station agents encountered Luis Alvarez-Rodriguez, a 31-year-old Mexican national who had entered the U.S. illegally west of Arizona’s Port of Lukeville. During processing, agents found he was convicted in 2008 in Maricopa Country of kidnapping and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Both subjects will be processed for criminal immigration violations.
All persons apprehended by the Border Patrol undergo criminal history checks using biometrics to ensure illegal immigrants with criminal histories are positively identified.
