San Luis, Arizona - The community is invited to come check out the Chucasso Arte exhibit currently on display until Friday, November 9, at the Arizona Western College San Luis Learning Center, 1340 N. 8th Avenue, San Luis, Arizona.
The exhibition is free for the community to attend and open on Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Inspired by Picasso and Chicano sub-culture, artist Jose Luis Nevarez Gonzalez creates drawings, paintings, and murals that incorporate graffiti as well as symbols and icons of both ancient and contemporary Mexican culture.
Jose has created murals with the Organización Mundial de Artistas Integrados (World Organization of Integrated Artists) founded by Sinaloa muralist artist Ernesto Rios and also has his work in the permanent collection of the San Angel Cultural Center Museum in Mexico City. He also exhibits his work every Friday in the Plaza of in Guamuchil, Sinaloa, Mexico.
