Phoenix, Arizona - In an ongoing effort to provide better customer service for recreational shooters, the Ben Avery Shooting Facility has announced it will begin a development project next month on the Department of Public Safety (DPS) 300-yard range.
In order to complete the project, adjacent specialty ranges designated for user groups - which include both DPS ranges, Rifle Silhouette Range, Benchrest Range, Rifle 1 and Pistol 2 - will be closed October 1-22.
Located on 1,650 acres in north Phoenix, the Ben Avery Shooting Facility is one of the nation’s largest publicly operated shooting facilities. A City of Phoenix “Point of Pride,” the facility has received a five-star rating from the National Association of Shooting Ranges.
