Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Doug Ducey has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from Wednesday, November 9, 2016, until sunset Thursday, November 10, 2016, in honor of Show Low Police Officer Darrin Reed, who died Tuesday from injuries related to a shooting.
“Our state is in mourning today after the unexpected passing of Show Low Police Officer Darrin Reed.
“This tragedy is nothing less than a deeply humbling reminder of the sacrifices that police officers make each and every day to keep our communities safe.
“I urge all Arizonans to join me in keeping Officer Reed, his family, and all of our state’s law enforcement officers in our prayers.
“In honor of Officer Reed, I have ordered that all flags at state buildings be lowered to half-staff immediately.”
