Washington, DC - Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance Frank A. Rose will travel to South America to discuss arms control, space security, and other issues of mutual interest from August 18 to August 25
On August 18 and 19, A/S Rose will travel to Buenos Aires to meet with senior officials from the Argentine President’s Office, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, and the National Space Activities Commission to discuss space security, arms control, and other security issues.
On August 22, A/S Rose will travel to Santiago to meet with senior officials from the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense to discuss arms control issues and opportunities to cooperate in promoting the safety, security, and sustainability of the outer space environment. A/S Rose will also discuss arms control and strategic stability with students at the Diplomatic Academy of Chile.
On August 24, A/S Rose will meet with senior officials from the Colombian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense in Bogota to discuss arms control issues.
