Washington, DC - Secretary Michael R. Pompeo met with Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell at the Department of State. The Secretary thanked the Foreign Minister for Spain’s efforts to support a return to democracy in Venezuela.
The Secretary and the Foreign Minister discussed a number of regional and bilateral issues, including Russia’s aggression in the Black Sea. They also discussed joint efforts in NATO and the importance of meeting defense spending targets outlined in the Wales Pledge.
