On September 12, agents working near the intersection of Texas State Highway 255 and Farm to Market 3338 were notified of some stray exotic animals on the highway.  Once agents arrived in the area, they noticed some African Cape Buffalo along the roadway.  Agents immediately requested assistance from Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.

While agents and the sheriff’s department controlled vehicle traffic in the area, the owners of the animals were subsequently able to sedate and transfer the animals back to their ranch.
