Purdue College of Agriculture hits milestone undergrad enrollment

West Lafayette, Indiana - Purdue University's College of Agriculture welcomed 2,803 undergraduate students this fall, marking its largest undergraduate enrollment since 1980. Hoosier students make up 76 percent of those enrolled, and 60 percent are female students.

Washington, DC - On September 28, Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan hosted a ministerial meeting on advancing responsible state behavior and deterring malicious activity in cyberspace. The Deputy Secretary led a discussion with over 20 countries on ways to confront cyber threats while maintaining the many benefits that free people and free nations have come to enjoy from the Internet. He also raised re-starting expert-led international talks on responsible state behavior at the United Nations.
Justice Department Reaches Settlement with New Jersey Military Housing Provider for Charging Unlawful Lease Termination Fees to U.S. Servicemembers

New Jersey - The Justice Department Thursday announced that United Communities, LLC, a private company that manages military housing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB-MDL), has agreed to pay $62,501.78 to resolve allegations that it violated the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) by imposing early termination charges on 13 servicemembers who had exercised their right to terminate their residential leases upon receipt of qualifying military orders. The early termination charges ranged from $138 to $3,100. This case and the settlement with another company in United States v. Twin Creek, announced on September 11, are the first two SCRA cases the Department has brought involving lease incentives.
