Phoenix, Arizona - Recognizing Arizona’s bipartisan leadership in cybersecurity, the National Governors Association (NGA) has selected Arizona along with five other states to participate in the NGA’s policy academy on electioncybersecurity operations. Through the program, Arizona will receive technical assistance from NGA staff to develop, implement and scale training and best practices throughout the state to improve coordination between election officials and reduce cyber-related risks ahead of the 2020 election.

Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich, along with his counterparts in 29 other states, announced a $10 million settlement with health insurer Premera Blue Cross. The settlement resolves a multistate investigation relating to the company’s 2014/15 data breach, which exposed the protected health information and other personal information of more than 10.4 million consumers nationwide.

Phoenix, Arizona - Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich filed an Arizona Consumer Fraud Act lawsuit Wednesday against three former executives of opioid manufacturer Insys Therapeutics Inc., which is based in Chandler. The lawsuit alleges that the three named defendants, including the founder of the company, engaged in a fraudulent marketing scheme designed to increase the sales of Insys’s flagship drug, Subsys, a highly addictive opioid prescription drug that contains fentanyl.
