Edinburg, Texas - Border Patrol agents assigned to the Falfurrias station saved the life of an immigrant in distress after he activated a rescue beacon. It happened early this morning and agents rapidly responded to the area and began treating the migrant for dehydration. Washington, DC - Guled Ali Omar, Abdurahman Yasin Daud and Mohamed Abdihamid Farah were convicted by a federal jury Friday of conspiring to commit murder in Syria on behalf of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and to provide material support to the designated foreign terrorist organization. Omar was also convicted of one count of attempted financial aid fraud, and Farah was also convicted of one count of perjury and providing a false statement.

New York - A commodity pool operator has been charged with defrauding more than 20 individual investors out of $23 million. The arrest follows an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) El Dorado Task Force.
