Yuma, Arizona - On Saturday, September 30th, the Genealogical Society of Yuma will present “Your Family History Guide” at 10:30 a.m. at the Main Library. Learn about the genealogy resources available through FamilySearch.org, a nonprofit family history organization. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet to this workshop.

Yuma, Arizona - In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Foothills Library, in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate, will present a Mexican Film Festival on Thursday, September 28th at 10:00 a.m. Families can enjoy a series of short films that highlight Mexico’s history and culture. There is no charge to attend.

Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma and the Consulate of Mexico in Yuma are hosting a free celebration of Mexico's Independence Day on Friday, Sept. 15, that aims to showcase our binational region's history, heritage and culture. The Fiestas Patrias will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Yuma Civic Center (1440 W. Desert Hills Drive) on Friday, September 15, 2017. Admission is free and open to the public.
