Children's Museum exhibit draws thousands in its first week at Yuma Art Center

Yuma, Arizona - More than 2,000 members of the public visited the Children's Museum of Yuma County's exhibit in its first week at the City's Yuma Art Center.

Yuma City Council Meeting Preview

Yuma, Arizona - The Yuma City Council will consider calling a special election to be held at the same time as the City of Yuma General Election on Nov. 8, 2016, during the regular City Council meeting to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, inside the Council Chambers of City Hall, One City Plaza.

House Fire in the 200 block of south 8th Avenue

Yuma, Arizona - Today, just before 6:30 am, a house fire was reported in the 200 block of south 8th Avenue. Responding Yuma Fire Department personnel arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a house at 271 S. 8th Ave, and active fire inside. The fire was quickly extinguished, with no damage to neighboring houses. The house was occupied by two adults and five children at the time of the fire, and one of the adult family members was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

4th of July impaired drivers detail saves lives

Yuma, Arizona - The City of Yuma Police Department conducted impaired driving details during the nights of Friday July 1st, Saturday July 2nd, Sunday July 3rd and Monday July 4th of 2016 with help from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.  The focus was impaired driving and the apprehension of impaired drivers.
