Consumer fireworks safety

Yuma, Arizona - According to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) research, every Fourth of July, thousands of people (most often children and teens) are injured while using consumer fireworks. Despite the dangers of fireworks, few people understand the associated risks - devastating burns, other injuries, fires, and even death (and civil/criminal liability).

Suspicious package found outside front doors of Yuma Police Department lobby

Yuma, Arizona - A suspicious package was found outside the front doors of the Yuma Police Department lobby this morning around 7:00 a.m.  At this time a full evacuation of the building has taken place.

Theatre Camp

Yuma, Arizona - Beginning Tuesday, July 5th, the Yuma County Library District, in collaboration with Yuma Community Theater, will offer the 3rd Annual Summer Theatre Camp for youth ages 12-18. Students will have an opportunity to learn theatre basics, including how to apply stage make-up and how to operate stage lights, as well as how to write skits and audition for roles.
