Washington, DC - Using a technique that is opening the door to more complex analyses of the human genome, researchers have identified dozens of new genetic variations that affect blood pressure. Scientists discovered the new genetic regions - and confirmed the role of many previously known ones - by looking specifically at cigarette smoking behavior, one of many lifestyle factors that impact blood pressure.

Tampa, Florida - A Middleburg, Florida man who used an infant and a toddler to produce child pornography was sentenced to 60 years in federal prison Thursday, to be followed by a lifetime of supervised release.

Memphis, Tennessee - Two former Memphis staffing company owners were sentenced to prison today for payroll tax fraud, announced Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Richard E. Zuckerman of the Justice Department’s Tax Division and U.S. Attorney D. Michael Dunavant for the Western District of Tennessee.
