Phoenix, Arizona - Don’t get your heart broken this Valentine’s day. FBI Phoenix wants to educate the public on romance scams, also called confidence fraud. Romance scams occur when a criminal adopts a fake online identity to gain a victim’s affection and trust. The scammer then uses the illusion of a romantic or close relationship to manipulate and/or steal from the victim.

Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich filed a lawsuit today against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and federal officials over its new policy to pause nearly all deportations for 100 days. The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) is asking the U.S. District Court in Arizona to rule the new policy violates federal law and Arizona’s existing agreement with DHS.
