Governor Ducey Orders Flag At Half-Staff For Fallen Phoenix Police Commander

Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Doug Ducey ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset today, March 30, 2020, to honor Commander Greg Carnicle of the Phoenix Police Department. Commander Carnicle died on Sunday, March 29, in the line of duty while responding to a domestic violence dispute. He was a 31-year law enforcement veteran and held positions including the special assignments and K9 units as well as overseeing evening and weekend patrol operations.

Governor Ducey Requests Special Health Care Enrollment Period

Phoenix, Arizona - Governor Doug Ducey Wednesday made a request to Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Alex Azar to open a special enrollment period on the Federal Insurance Marketplace. If granted, the action would allow individuals who have recently lost a job or had their income reduced due to COVID-19 to access health care on the federal marketplace.
