Chicago, Illinois - Navistar Inc., an integrated manufacturer of trucks and diesel engines based in Lisle, Illinois, has agreed to mitigate at least 10,000 tons of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions and pay a $52 million civil penalty in a consent decree, lodged Monday, to resolve violations of the Clean Air Act. In particular, Navistar illegally introduced into commerce on‑highway Heavy-Duty Diesel Engines (HDDEs) that were not covered by EPA-issued certificates of conformity.

Phoenix, Arizona - Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich led a coalition of 20 states supporting Ohio’s lawsuit challenging the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional Tax Mandate in the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) that threatens to withhold COVID-19 relief funding from states if they lower taxes in any fashion. Any state that violates the provision is required to repay funds to the U.S. Department of Treasury (Treasury).
