Border Patrol Seizes Dope from Multiple False Compartments

Tucson, Arizona - Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a suspected drug smuggler and seized nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana concealed in false compartments.

Yesterday afternoon, agents from the Tucson Border Patrol Station working at the State Route 83 checkpoint arrested a male U.S. citizen after a canine team alerted to the vehicle, prompting a secondary inspection. Agents discovered 444 wrapped bricks concealed in various compartments throughout the 2003 F-350 pick-up truck. The Drug Enforcement Administration will take possession of the drug load valued at $744,000 and the subject faces prosecution.
