Arizona Expands COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility To All

Phoenix, Arizona - Registration at Arizona’s state-operated COVID-19 vaccination sites in Maricopa, Pima and Yuma counties will be open to all Arizonans 16 and older beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, Governor Doug Ducey and the Arizona Department of Health Services announced.
Paul Petersen Sentenced to 5 Years in Arizona Prison

Phoenix, Arizona - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Friday that former Maricopa County Assessor Paul Petersen has been sentenced to five years in state prison for running an adoption scheme that was unlawfully paid for by Arizona taxpayers. This sentence will be in addition to his federal sentence. Through his adoption practice, Petersen brought pregnant women from the Marshall Islands to the U.S. to give birth, paid for unlawfully by Arizona taxpayers.

Cypriot Hacker Sentenced to Prison

Phoenix, Arizona - Joshua Polloso Epifaniou, 22, of Nicosia, Cyprus was sentenced Wednesday in the Northern District of Georgia by U.S. District Judge Mark H. Cohen to 12 months and one day in prison, on top of the nearly four years Epifaniou has already served in custody since his arrest in Cyprus in May 2017. Epifaniou pleaded guilty to federal computer fraud charges brought in Arizona and the Northern District of Georgia.
