Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College Talent Search will be hosting “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” for high school students on Thursday, November 17 on the Yuma Campus in South Schoening, the East Meeting Room, and the Frances Morris Conference Room. Students from Kofa, Parker, San Luis and Yuma high schools will be in attendance.

Yuma, Arizona - Defense wins championships. The old mantra has held true this football season for both Arizona Western College and Garden City Community College. Now, the top two teams in the NJCAA will meet in the title game at the El Toro Bowl in Yuma on Saturday December 3. Kick-off is set for 1:00 pm at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Yuma, Arizona - The Arizona Western College Music Department will have its Formal Student Recital at 1 pm on Sunday, November 20 in the AWC Theater on the Yuma Campus. The Formal Student Recital is a performance presented by the music students taking private lessons from the AWC faculty.

Yuma, Arizona - On Wednesday, November 30th, Bill Heidner, Museum Curator of the Yuma Proving Ground Heritage Center, will present “From Patton to Victory: Dynamic Army Training in the Southwest” at Yuma County Libraries. Perhaps the most celebrated general officer of World War II, General George S Patton established the Desert Training Center, with Yuma as its southern anchor. Over 1.5 million Army troops came to the Desert Southwest to undergo training that ultimately brought about victory.
